Joanna Mancari, 69, of North Syracuse passed away on Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on March 28, 1943 in Syracuse, daughter of Anthony and Anna Venuti. Joanna was a 1961 graduate of North High School and CCBI. She retired from the North Syracuse School District and was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church. After retirement, Joanna enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband Frank, of 43 years, 2 sons, Frank A. (Kelly), Matthew J. (Amy), 2 daughters; Jennifer Beardsley, Tracy (Jeremy) Clark, 5 grandchildren; Justin, Tristan, Anthony, Dominick & Mia. She is also survived by her sister, Rose Marie Davidsons and was predeceased by her brother, Dominick Venuti.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday 10am at St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will take place in North Syracuse Cemetery.

Contributions to Golisano Children's Hospital or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
