Joan E. Vosbury

Joan E. "Joanie" Vosbury, 91, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022. She was born on April 28, 1931, in Syracuse, NY, to the late Harold and Genevieve Hobson.

She was a crossing guard for the Syracuse Police Department for over 20 years. She loved camping, listening to country music and most of all visiting with her loving family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Linda Oswald, Larry (Kimberly) Witter, Victoria (Loren) Hoyt and David (Erin) Vosbury; grandchildren, Matthew and Justin Witter, Lucas Vosbury, Eric Komar, Brad and Tyler Hoyt and Kayla VanVorst; four great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joan was predeceased by her husband, Dexter; her son, Michael Witter; a sister, Carol Temple and a brother, Harold Hobson Jr.

Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Wednesday, September 7th, 2022 from 4-7pm. Funeral service will follow at 7pm. Burial will remain private.
