Joan Frances Richards, 82, of Liverpool, passed away August 1, 2019.
Joan was born in Syracuse, New York on May 15, 1937 to the late John and Sophie Kuryla.
She was very crafty and a spectacular cook. Joan was proud of her Polish heritage and her specialty was pierogies at Christmas time. She loved going to the casino and playing bingo and slots with her sisters. Most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Gene.
She is survived by two daughters, Dianne (Andy) Mackey, Donna (Brian) LaMotte; two sons, Neil (Lori) Richards, and Noel Richards; two honorary daughters, Afton Narolis, Catherin Narolis; honorary son, Jason Narolis; Grandchildren, Shaun, Neil Edward, Jennifer, Matthew, Heather, Nicole, Sam, Ryan, Lauren; a Great-Grandson, Silas; and nine brothers and sisters.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, August 6th, from 4-6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212. Memorial contributions may be made to the Francis House and Hospice of CNY.
