Joan B. Kassel, 80, of Chittenango passed away on Thursday with her loving family by her side.
Joan was born on May 27, 1937 the daughter of the late Alfred and Gladys Sharp. Joan was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her extensive family, playing bingo, reading, Scrabble and hosting holiday events with her family. Joan will be cherished by all who knew her.
Joan is survived by her loving husband, Warren, of 62 years, her children; Robert (Leslie) Kassel, James Kassel, Ronald S. Kassel, Christine (Robert) Repe, Warren V. Kassel, grandchildren, Stephen (Heather) Kassel, Brian Kassel, Jonathan Kassel, Jacob Kassel, Carmen "Michael" Ponto, Steven Bailey, Ronald Kassel, Kevin Kassel, Kimberly Repe, Lianna Repe, great grandson, Zachary Kassel, sisters, Elizabeth Stark, Alice Belmonte, Jeannette Marhold. Along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Florence and Evelyn.
There will be a private family ceremony. Burial will take place at the Onondaga Veterans Cemetery.
