Joan M. (Pfeiffer) Heagle, 76, of Liverpool, passed away on Thursday at Upstate University Hospital surrounded by loving family.
She was born in Syracuse on December 17, 1942, the daughter of the late James and Rita (Laughlin) Pfeiffer.
Joan retired as an Oswego City School Bus Driver after many years. She also spent many years with her husband, Gordon, in Daytona Beach, FL. Joan loved her time with her family, friends, and all of her grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her daughters, Colleen Wallace, Kathy (Keith) Sheridan, and Mickey (Terry) Haney; grandchildren, Erica, Hope, Brooke, Brett, Alexis, Zachary, Paige, and Connor; great grandchildren, Jake, Landon, Hunter, Maddie, Greyson, and Brady; siblings, Jim (Mary) Pfeiffer, Ron (Liz) Pfeiffer, Carol (Dick) Voci, and Linda (Otto) Calabria, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Heagle, her parents, her grandson, Taylor and brother Lenny Pfeiffer.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22, from 4-6 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow at 6pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 5005 Campuswood Dr., E. Syracuse NY 13057, in memory of her grandson, Taylor.
