Joan Elin Hahn, 82, of Cicero, passed away Friday. Joan volunteered with, and then worked for, Literacy Volunteers of Greater Syracuse, retiring in 1991.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Marvin E. Hahn; sons, Robert S. (Karen) Bewley, Richard F. (Sherry) Bewley; daughter, Christine A. Deacons; step-daughters, Diane E. (Michael) Thurber, Gail A. (Calvin) Lovering, Tracy E. Hahn, Heidi A. (Klaus) Aserian; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; brother, Ralph Patterson; sister, Charlotte Mosher; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday, 7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-7 PM, at the funeral home, before services.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn. of CNY.
