Joan I. Damm, 81, of Cicero, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 9, 2020.
Born on August 19, 1939 to the late Loren and Helen (Dausman) Fortner. Joan retired from US Airways after working 20 plus years in the airline industry. She enjoyed spending all her time with her family and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include brother, Richard (Mary) Fortner; sister-in-law, Marlene Derminio; two children, Joy (Jack) MacKool and Jeffrey Winguay; two step-children, Cindy (Todd) Jenkins and Brian (Mimi ) Damm; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Joan is predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Doug; her son, Joseph Winguay; three grandchildren, Corey Winguay, J.J. Winguay and Joseph MacKool.
Calling hours will take place Monday from 11-12pm with a service to follow at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St. North Syracuse, NY 13212.
Interment will take place in White Chapel Cemetery.
Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements.
Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
