Joan A. Clark

Joan A. Clark, 92, of North Syracuse, passed away on September 20, 2024. 

Joan was born to Norman and Harriett Westlowski on April 6, 1932, in Syracuse, New York. 

Joan retired from Onondaga County after many years. 

Joan's love for her family was boundless. As a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

In her leisure time, Joan found joy in simple pleasures. She loved going to Tully's to cheer for Syracuse Football and Basketball and solving crossword puzzles on the phone with her daughter Nancy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Westlowski; mother, Harriett Westlowski; daughter, Lynne A. Clark; son, Michael Clark; and sister, Dorothy E. Ferguson. 

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Nick) Clark—Longo; cousin, Sharon Zalewsky; daughter-in-law, Karen Clark; three granddaughters, Stephanie (Joseph) Forth, Kimberly (Christopher) Atwater, and Laura Fawcett; three grandsons, Christopher (Jessica) Clark, Jonathan Clark, and Joshua Martin; former husband, Edward Clark; sister-in-law, Joyce Bain, and Gretchen Steppenbeck.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, September 29,2024 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m.
