Jim Howell, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on December 8, 2017. He served in the Army and was a member of Southeast Christian Church.
He was born on October 16, 1938 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late John Howell and Wilma Wegenast.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Howell; children, Greg Howell (Jamie), Pete Howell (Debbie), Laura McElroy (Tim), David Howell (Jill) and Laura Medford; brother, Jerry Howell (Judy); twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). A funeral service to honor the life of Jim will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
In loving memory of Jim, memorial contributions may be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611 or Robley Rex VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206.
