Jessie B. Browne, 94, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Tuesday at Loretto Nursing Home.
Jessie was born on April 11, 1926 the daughter of the late John and Jessie Wiley. After graduating from Girls' High in Philadelphia in 1943, she was recruited by Philco into the Radarettes Program but advanced to work in their Research and Development Lab. She was always ready to learn and share what she knew by teaching others. At the age of 58 she completed her Masters Degree and stepped into a full professorship of Computer Science and Technology at Broome Community College for the next 14 years.
Jessie is survived by her children, Wendy (James) Clarke, Craig Browne, Paul (Gloria) Browne, Karl Browne, 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband David Browne, her parents and two brothers, John & James Wiley.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the 5th floor staff at Loretto for their compassionate care.
Services will be private at a later date.
