Jeffrey C. Schafer, 58 of Syracuse, passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside.
Born in Syracuse on October 20, 1959 to Leonard and Dorothy Schafer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Danielle (Matt) Cavaretta and Leslie (Peter Lacell) Schafer; mother, Dorothy; brothers, Michael (Bonnie), Tim (Sue) Schafer; nephews, Chris (Jessica) and Ryan (Denyelle) Schafer; nieces, Tricia (Dan) Brice, Tiffany (Bill) Everett, Jenna (Josh) Reynolds and Brianna (Ed) Schoeneck. Several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. He is predeceased by his father, Leonard and sister, Jackie.
Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, June 26 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, N. Syracuse from 4-7pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at Assumption Church, 812 N. Salina St., Syracuse on Wednesday 10am.
Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Assumption Church.
