Jeanne S. Sharp, 94, of Bel Air, passed away February 6, 2024. Jeanne was born in Clay, New York on June 19, 1929 to Leon and Myra Scriber. Jeanne retired from Metropolitan Waterboard, after 20 years of employment. She was a lifelong member of Faith Journey United Methodist Church, Clay. In her free time, she enjoyed her camp in the Thousand Islands, her winter home in Florida and time spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her spouse of 66 years, Ronald Sharp; father, Leon Scriber; mother, Myra Scriber; son in law, Gary Ketchum; sisters, Verna Hughson and Geraldine Foil; and brother, Alvin Scriber.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Ketchum, Karen (Steven) McCurdy; grandchildren, Jill (Jody) Giarrusso, Brett (Kate) Ketchum, Joshua (Theresa Frey) McCurdy, Christy (Andrew Burns) McCurdy, and Jacob (Faith) McCurdy; 5 great grandchildren; sister in law, Mary Jane Larrabee; and several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held, Friday February 16, 2024 at 11:00AM at Faith Journey United Methodist Church. Burial will be made in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Memorial contributions may be made in Jeanne's memory to Faith Journey United Methodist Church.
