Jeanne E. Pickreign

Jeanne Edith Pickreign of Brewerton, NY passed away on March 12, 2025. A loving friend, wife and mother, she was born in Brewerton, NY December 24, 1941 to Marvin and Edith Ladd. Having graduated from high school in Central Square, NY, she became employed by King’s Moving and Storage of Syracuse, NY. It was there that she met Joseph Pickreign who became her lifelong companion when they married on December 2, 1961. They remained happily married for over 63 years.

With Joseph, she raised three children and lived a full life. She had visited every state in the U.S. except Idaho and Colorado. She enjoyed cruises, bus travel, train travel and automobile travel. She was a big fan of SU basketball and loved bingo, card games, Yahtzee, dominos, jigsaw puzzles, and romance novels.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; her daughter, Jennifer (Donald) Walczyk; son, Jamar (Kelley) Pickreign and son, Jeremy (Christina) Pickreign. In addition, Jeanne is survived by nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Brewerton Volunteer Fire Department, 9625 Brewerton Road, Brewerton, NY 13029 (time TBD). An ardent supporter of the Brewerton Volunteer Ambulance Corps, contributions may be made to them in her name in lieu of flowers.
