Jeanette F. Poirier (Jenny), 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Iroquois Nursing Home with her loving daughters by her side.
She was born on January 3, 1936 in Syracuse, NY. She was the daughter of the late Bradley and Augusta (Shepard) Austin. Jenny was very passionate about gardening and baking and her family that always came first.
Jenny was predeceased by her loving husband, William Poirier in 2012; her sisters, Nina, Shirley, Lois, Nancy and Lillian; and brothers, Delbert and Raymond.
She is survived by her daughters, Terri (Wayne) Muller, Lori (Mike) Butcavage, Dina Christian, Brenda (Tom) Gural, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jenny will be remembered for her gifts of homemade Teddy Bears, her beautiful smile and warm heart. Also, all the walking she did in North Syracuse delivering Avon for many years.
The family would like to thank the staff at Iroquois Nursing Home for the loving care they provided during her stay.
Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, N. Syracuse on Wednesday, October 24 from 4-7pm. Funeral Mass, Friday, October, 26 10am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, N. Syracuse. Burial will follow at N. Syracuse Cemetery.
