Jeanette (Maiorano) Pauldine of Baldwinsville passed away suddenly April 15, 2024. Jeanette was born in Mattydale, New York to the late Carmen and Theresa (Pistilli) Maiorano.
She graduated from North Syracuse High School and held a variety of secretarial jobs throughout her life, most recently at the Oswego High School Counseling Office, from which she retired. Jeanette was an accomplished seamstress, quilter, embroiderer, knitter and crocheter. In fact, there wasn't a fiber art she hadn't mastered. She was a terrific cook and baker, and enjoyed doing both for her family and friends. In her retirement, in addition to her fiber art hobbies, she enjoyed going to the casino and out to lunch with her friends. Jeanette was devout and practiced her faith by helping others. She knitted baby blankets and infant sweaters for Birthright, an international organization that helps pregnant women and young families in crisis. She contributed monthly to St. Jude Hospital for Children. She sewed baptismal bibs for Our Lady of Pompei Church. Jeanette also lovingly and selflessly cared for her son Michael J. during his lengthy illness.
She was predeceased by her parents and by her son, Michael J. Pauldine.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Michael R. Pauldine; her brother John (Colleen) Maiorano; brother Carl (Sally) Maiorano; Uncle Tom Straub; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, April 24 from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals. A Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday, April 25 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church, 7333 O'Brien Road, Baldwinsville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The ALS Association, Upstate New York Chapter, 135 Old Cove Rd., Suite 213, Liverpool, NY 13090.
