Jean Pedersen passed away on April 24, 2024, peacefully at home with her son and daughter-in-law by her side. She was born on April 8, 1935, in Brookfield NY, the only child of Myrtle Wright.
Jean was a strong, loving, and compassionate woman who exuded determination and perseverance. As a single mother, she raised herself and family from poverty to self-sufficiency. She earned her LPN degree and started her career in healthcare. During that time, she used her natural people skills to supplement her income as a representative for Sarah Coventry jewelry and earned awards and accolades for her success. Jean was a dedicated nurse and worked for Orthopedic Associates for over 30 years.
On June 28, 1975, Jean married William Pedersen in First English Lutheran Church, a blessed union of 46 years, until his passing on June 5, 2022.
Jean was known as “Ms. Hallmark,” for her heart-felt cards she lovingly gave to acknowledge and appreciate her family and those whose lives she touched.
Surviving is her daughter, Alma (Scott) Widger and son, Lee (Nancy) Livermore; grandchildren, Daniel (Janelle) Johnson, Tina Widger, Hannah (Michael) Nodalo and Marcus Livermore; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Liam, and Luke Johnson; stepdaughter, Bonnie (Ronnie) Horning; step grandchildren, Heather and Steven Horning and Joann Pedersen.
Jean was predeceased by her mother; infant daughter, Mary Ellen; husband, William; stepson, John Pedersen; sons, Mark and Michael Livermore.
There will be no services and burial will be private.
