Jean Frances Desiderio, 80, a beloved wife to her high school sweetheart, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away July 2, 2024, at her home in Erieville.
Jean was born in Syracuse, NY on April 5, 1944, to Anthony and Josephine Piazza.
Jean was a real estate agent for years for Don Bullard, Fulton. She retired from USPS, Syracuse, where she was a postal carrier. Due to her love of baking, she started a small baking business and sold to local stores in the area where she lived.
In her free time, over the years, she enjoyed hunting, fishing, skydiving, and riding motorcycles with her husband. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, and baking with her daughter and grandchildren. She was a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association and served in many ways with her chapter alongside her husband. Her Christian faith was very important to her and she was a long-time member of Believer's Chapel, Cicero. She loved tools, had a knack for tinkering, and did watch repair. Jean had a love for roller skating and could ride anything with wheels, but she wouldn't wash the Harley.
Jean is survived by her husband of 60 years, Alfonso Anthony Desiderio; daughter, Tracy (Steve) Burdin of New Woodstock; son, Mark (Linda) Desiderio of Liverpool; sister, Elaine Shaft of Arizona, grandchildren, Corey (Tori) Burdin of DeRuyter, Elise Burdin and Wyatt Burdin of New Woodstock. Many nieces and nephews.
If desired, donations may be made in Jean's memory to Teen Challenge of Syracuse on Furman St.
Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date to be determined.
