Jason Andrew Stene

Jason Andrew Stene, 43, of Syracuse, passed away August 24, 2023. Jason was born in Syracuse, New York on December 5, 1979 to James and Anne Farrell Stene. Jason was a devoted and loving father. He took good care of his loved ones and the family pets. He was a skilled diesel mechanic and a former volunteer EMT for the Fayetteville Fire Department. Jason was a volunteer for Assumption Church Food Pantry, making sandwiches and set a record for making the most the fastest. He enjoyed the outdoors especially Green Lakes and the Adirondacks, hiking, camping, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed cooking, watching TV and playing video games. Jason loved listening to music and also played the drums in a band, Narrow Road. He would go out of his way to care for others and was a kind and generous man. Jason will be missed deeply.

He was preceded in death by brother, David Garland; grandma and grandpa Farrell; and grandma and grandpa Stene.

Jason is survived by daughter, Alex Stene; brother, Stephen (Gloria) Garland; sister in law, Leah Garland; ex partner, Melissa See; ex wife, Suzanne (Brian Decirce) Stene; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 2nd from 1-3 pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals.
