Jason M. Powell, 37, of Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday unexpectedly at his home. Jason was born in Syracuse on April 12, 1984 son of James and Kathleen Powell. Jason was employed at Kissane Water Conditioning, Inc., Syracuse. Jason loved sports and was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. Jason enjoyed fishing, golfing listening to music and watching movies. He had great passion for writing poetry and creative drawing. He will be remembered for his kind heart and for the love of his family and friends. He was always a great supporter of mental illness awareness.

He is survived by his father, James Powell (Janet Shaver), mother, Kathleen Powell (William Dudley), brother, Jeremy Powell, sister, Stephanie Powell and niece Allison.

A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will take place at North Syracuse Cemetery.
