Jason E. Webb
December 26, 2012
On December 26, 2012, Jason E. Webb, 87, of North Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully at home with his son by his side.
Born on June 10, 1925, Jason spent his childhood in Arkansas before moving north to New York. On June 20, 1961, Jason was united in marriage with his late wife, Gloria D. Webb (d. August 4, 2012). Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Syracuse. Jason was a firm believer in hard work and dedication, and he remained an employee at Burns Brothers for 40 years, until his retirement in February of 1989. In his free time, Jason loved visiting his family's cottage near the town of Pulaski, NY, spending as much time as he could outdoors, enjoying the company of his favorite dogs, loved ones and the long, peaceful summer days. A man with utmost integrity, he lived each day on his own terms and strove to be the best husband, father and friend he could be.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Kimberly Glassford. He is survived by his son, Jason S. Webb of North Syracuse, and his daughter, Patricia Dougherty of East Syracuse; his sisters, Rosetta Brown and Brenda (Ralph) Taro; his brothers, Lecil (Mickey) Webb, Wilbur (Linda) Webb and Donald (Donna) Webb; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, January 5, from 1 to 2 P.M. at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will follow.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Jason's name to the S.P.C.A.
