In Loving Memory of Jason Willys Burdick

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jason Willys Burdick, born on September 10, 1983, in Syracuse, NY, who was called to his eternal home on February 12, 2025. Jason was the cherished son of Willys Burdick, Jr. and Sharon Burdick.

Jason was a proud graduate of Central Square High School, and he worked as a dedicated construction worker, known for his meticulous attention to detail. Outside of his work, he was an avid lover of the outdoors, enjoying fishing, sports, and time spent in nature. His passion for the Buffalo Bills and baseball were a testament to his vibrant, joyful spirit. Jason was also a man of action, making quilts for those in need and planting trees in his community as acts of kindness.

Jason's life was one of boundless love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Though his passing leaves an irreplaceable void in our hearts, we find comfort in remembering him not for the way his life ended, but for the extraordinary way it was lived. He touched the lives of countless people with his infectious smile, hearty laughter, and generosity of spirit.

He is survived by his loving parents, Willys and Sharon; his daughter, Zahara; son, Noah; his brothers, Willys (Kim) Burdick III and Robert (Shunni) Burdick; his sisters, Heather (Tim) Esposito and Faith Ann Burdick; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who adored him.

Jason was predeceased by both maternal and paternal grandparents, his nephews Jason and Jonathan Green, cousins Barbara Burdick and Frank VanBuskirk, and uncles Richard Burdick, Douglas Richardson, and Edward Miller.

In celebration of Jason's remarkable life, we will be holding a Celebration of Life in the spring, where we will gather to share stories, laughter, and memories, just as Jason would have wanted. More details will follow as we approach the date. We ask that you join us in honoring him not through grief, but through joy, love, and the light he brought into all our lives.

We are forever grateful for the love, kindness, and laughter Jason shared with us, and we take comfort in knowing his legacy of warmth and generosity will live on in all of us.

With love and appreciation, The Burdick's
