Janice M. Sax

Janice M. Sax, 82, of Cicero, passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 28, 2025. Janice was born in Syracuse, New York on September 12, 1942 to Raymond and Arlene Sharp.

Janice worked for over 30 years at Potter Agency, Cicero, NY. She was a broker and the office manager. She was on the board of directors for Madison Mutual and held many roles in the Cicero Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary beginning in 1972. After retirement Janice and Richard enjoyed traveling in their motor home, and going on cruises. More recently, in her free time, she enjoyed her mornings at Thee Diner and long sight-seeing rides with her husband. Janice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by Mother, Arlene (Corsette) Sharp; Father, Raymond “Bud” Sharp; and Brother, Robert Sharp.

She is survived by her Spouse of 63 years, Richard L. Sax; Son, Christopher Sax; Daughter, Ann (Tim) Parody; Three grandchildren, Madison Sax, Jillian and Jon (Allie) Parody; Sister, Rae (Jerry) Zollo; and several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Funeral Mass will be on February 22, 2025, at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Church, 8229 Brewerton Road, Cicero, NY, 13039.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cicero Volunteer Fire Department or the Alzheimer’s Association.
