Janice M. Ward, 79, of Clay, passed away on Wednesday at her home. She was born in Canastota daughter of Raymond and Helen Kick. Janice graduated from Eastwood High School and was a former member of the Civic Social Club, a charity organization. On August 9, 1952 she was married to Donald L. Ward. Janice also loved to read mystery novels, work on crossword puzzles and had the answers to any questions that her family and friends had. She was a lifelong Mets Fan and loved the Syracuse Orange.

Surviving are her loving husband, Donald, of 60 years, 2 sons; Stephen Ward, James (Lori) Ward, daughter, Cynthia (Richard) Manzi, 8 grandchildren, Brian, Brittany, Jessica, Michael, Christa, Nicole, Anthony & Joseph, 4 great grandchildren; Mark, Jonathon, Dominic & Sean.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 12-2pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with services to follow at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
