Janet V. "Tootsie" Piper, 72, of Syracuse passed away Saturday. She retired from St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store. A friend to everyone, she was always willing to help anyone in need. Janet was predeceased by her parents, Domenic and Lena Bizzarro and a sister, Rose LaGrange.
Surviving are daughters, Debbie (Rock) Carbone and Lisa Piper; fiancé, Richard Tyminski; brother, Carmen Nappa; sisters, Nancy Thoryk and Mary Williams; grandchildren, Rachele and Rocco Carbone and Danielle Ugalde; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 9 AM on Saturday at St. Daniel's Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
