January 1, 1934 — December 1, 2023
Janet L. Michaels, 89 of Central Square, NY, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert and sister, Audrey Wood.
She is survived by her children, Deborah (Paul) Fisch and Shelly Michaels; granddaughter, Jennie Waldron and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Janet was born January 1, 1934 to the late Ernest and Dorothy Dunn.
Janet spent many winters in Lakeland, Florida with her husband, Bob. She loved dancing, playing cards, reading, playing a competitive game of Scrabble and spending time with her loving family and friends. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star of NY. Janet was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all.
Thank you to the skilled nursing staff at Loretto Health and Rehabilitation-Cunningham, especially the 10th floor staff where Janet resided. We appreciate their kindness.
A special thank you to Susan Glab of Loretto who took special care of Janet and became a dear friend of the family.
There will be no calling hours.
Spring services will be held at West Monroe Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Resources of CNY or the Loretto Foundation.
