Janet T. Mckown

Janet T. (Froio) McKown, 72 of Baldwinsville, NY passed away after a long illness on February 14th, 2022 at St. Joseph's Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Syracuse, NY, Janet was the daughter of the late Joseph Froio and Elizabeth (DeKing) Froio. Janet grew up in Chittenango, NY where she attended Chittenango High School.

She had a long career in commercial insurance, beginning with Kemper Insurance and culminating with her retirement from QBE Insurance in 2015. Janet enjoyed spending time with her family, where she was "the heart and soul". She was especially gifted at crafting and enjoyed many vacations in Alexandria Bay and 2 trips to Hawaii.

Survived by her husband of 35 years, Kevin McKown; daughters, Michelle Raymond and Julia McKown; brothers, Dominick Froio and John Froio; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by her brother, Joseph Froio. Services will remain private.
