Janet C. (DeLine) Frost, 73, of North Syracuse, died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Watertown, she was the daughter of William and Doris (Kirkland) DeLine. She attended school in Watertown, before moving to Syracuse with her family in 1953. Jan always had a love for music and was a piano teacher for many years. She also was a lover of all animals and raised parakeets and parrots, loving them as she loved her family. Jan was a wonderful cook, and many special family events were celebrated throughout the years with beautifully decorated cakes that she made from scratch. Jan was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy J. (Burke) Belanger of Fulton; and a brother, Wendell (Red) DeLine of Syracuse.
Jan is survived by her husband of 46 years, Royston B. Frost, Sr.; 2 sons, Dean R. Alverson of Fulton and Royston B. Frost, Jr. of Fulton; a daughter, Sherry L (DeLine) Harrison of Clay; a sister, Jean A. Williams of Syracuse; and a brother, Wayne W. DeLine of Syracuse; 2 grand daughters, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Monday at 10 AM at New Comer Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in the North Syracuse Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday from 1-4 PM, at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
