Jane Boruszewski, 82, of Mattydale, passed away peacefully in her home, losing her battle to cancer. Jane was born in Poland and was deported to Siberia. In 1942, she traveled to Iran, East Africa and then to England where she married Walter. In 1951, they immigrated to America. Jane graduated college with an A.S. in Humanities. Her passion in life was writing. She published seven stories in the Oasis Journal. Jane was a caring person. She volunteered with Oasis for many years. She also was a member of the Writers Club.

Jane is survived by her husband of 59 years, Walter; her daughters Teresa Pogar, Irene Dishaw, and Linda Karlyk, 8 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday, 10 AM at St. Margaret's Church. Burial will follow in the North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Thursday from 5-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.

Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY.
