James R. Webster, 75, of West Monroe, passed away on October 1, 2015 at The Francis House. He was born on April 5, 1940, in Romulus, NY to Richard and Lorna Reed-Webster of Ovid.
James worked as a deputy for Seneca county as well as Schuyler county for several years. He retired after working at Mercury Aircraft for 27 years. He was dedicated to ELKS and achieved a position as state Vice President at Post 1722 in Penn Yan, NY.
He spent his days entertaining people & making laughter where ever he went. He had a great love for music and singing. He was also known as The King of Karaoke.
In 2007, he married Edna Boyce and they lived in West Monroe, NY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Lorna Webster; wife, Edna Webster; sister, Mary Shaw; & brother, William Webster.
James is survived by his daughters, Brooke Pocyntyluk & her fiancé Stephen Connors; Brenda (Thomas) Fitch; Bonnie (Greg) Presley; Christy Webster & her mother Pam Webster; sons, Gary & Brian Webster; sister, Margaret "Peggy" Harmon; Grandchildren, Kim, Courtney, Michelle, Chelsea, Thomas & Joshua; great grandchildren, Derec, Dylan, Dennis and Trinity.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will follow at 7PM.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Francis House, 114 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
