James A Tufenkjian

James A Tufenkjian, 84, passed away October 17th after a long illness. Jim, a WWII Army Air Corp veteran, was known for his kind heart and wonderful sense of humor. After retiring from Carrier Corporation (TR1) in 1984 with 33-years of service, Jim lived in his family home in North Syracuse where he loved to observe nature and tinker in his famous "tool-shop". In 2001, Jim moved to Van Duyn Home and Hospital where both he and his family were blessed with years of loving care by an incredibly kind and dedicated staff.
Jim is survived by Laura, his loving wife of 58 years, son David (Holly), daughter Carol (Michael) Parker, six grandchildren and sister Roxy White. There will be a private service held at Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
