James T. Tillman, Jr. passed away on Sunday, in Franklin, Tennessee, at the age of 85.
Mr. Tillman was a resident of the Cicero North Syracuse area for over 50 years, residing in Jacksonville, Florida for the last 17 years. He was raised in Jacksonville, Florida, and served in the Army Air Corp in World War II.

Mr. Tillman was an electrical engineer and corporate executive for the General Electric Corporation and retired after 32 years of service. He was predeceased by his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth C. Tillman, parents, Mr. & Mrs. Louis Elcaness, and brother, William D. Tillman.

He is survived by his son and daughter in law, James T. III (Mary Lou), daughter and son in law, Janet Lee (Sam) D'Amico, five grandchildren, Michael D'Amico, Brian (Joan) D'Amico, Richard (Stephanie) D'Amico, Jennifer (Nathan) Stone, and Daniel J. Tillman. Also survived by 5 ½ great grandchildren, brother, Donald Tillman, sister in law, Bonnie Tillman, two sisters, several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours to be held at Newcomer Funeral Home at 11a.m. on Thursday, May 24th, one hour prior to graveside service at North Syracuse Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
