James M. Stanek

James M Stanek, 68, of Lyncourt, passed away to be with our Lord and Savior on March 15, 2024.

James was born in Syracuse, New York on June 22, 1955 to Frank and Maria Stanek.

James primarily worked in the tile/flooring industry doing sales with Dobkin Tile before going to work at Baker Commodities, a company he enjoyed working for and who supported him graciously through his medical leave from the company due to a cardiovascular related brain injury in 2009.

In his free time James enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In his healthy years he was highly passionate about playing, watching and coaching sports especially his children sports teams. He was a big New York sports fan including Syracuse basketball and football, New York Giants, Yankees and Knicks.

He was a faithful servant of the Lord and was a member of Abundant Life Christian Center.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria C. Stanek (Nappa); father, Frank A. Stanek.

He is survived by his daughter, Faith Stanek-Bowles (spouse, Andy); son, Cameron Stanek (spouse, Melanie and first grandson, Kashel); mother of his children and caregiver, Sherry Stanek. James is also survived by his sister, Judith Bloom (spouse, Terry) and brother, John Stanek (spouse, Laura).
