James F. Spooner, 86, of Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday at the VA Medical Center.
He was born on February 12, 1927, son of the late Fred and Frances Spooner.
He proudly served in the US Navy during WW II.
He was an avid Yankee Fan, SU Fan and in his early years, coached softball and baseball.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Esther, 2 sons: Kevin & Keith Spooner, daughter, Dawn (Joe) Miles, 3 grandchildren: Jeffery, Justin, Cory and great grandson, Brett.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours.
