James R. Cerone

James R. Cerone, 74, of Brewerton, passed away Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Syracuse, son of Pasquale Cerone, who founded Cerone Electronics in 1928 later becoming Cerone TV, was an integral part of the Cerone family legacy. Jim was best known for his role as Senior Sound Engineer at the Three Rivers Inn. He worked with acts such as Tony Bennett and Nat King Cole. He will be greatly missed. James is predeceased by his son, James K. Cerone, February 21, 2006.
Jim is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Irene Charette Cerone; son, Michael J. (Margaret) Cerone Sr. of Brewerton; daughter, Karen A. (John A. Jr.) Francher of Liverpool; brother, David Cerone of Ohio; sister, Patricia Corcoran of Liverpool; eight grand-children, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, 10 AM at St. Agnes Church, Brewerton. Burial will be in the North Syracuse Cemetery. Friends may visit with his family on Friday from 4-7 PM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse.
