James (Jimmy) R. Purdy, 71, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on June 06, 2021 at Loretto Nursing Home.
He was born on October 22, 1949. James previously worked as a cook and also at the Carrier Dome. He received his GED and attended Cornell University. James was predeceased by his mother Mary L. Purdy; father, Frank L. Purdy; and a brother, Louis M. Purdy.
He is survived by his sister, Nancy (Timothy); nieces, Tanya and Amy; great-nieces, Sierra, Caitlin, and Amelia; and great-nephew, Mark Jr.; and several cousins. A special thank you to David, Denise, Patty, Robin, and Howard.
Calling hours are Thursday, June 24th, from 5-7pm with a service to follow.
