James R. Popps

James R. Popps, 86, of Fairport, passed away with his family by his side on April 25, 2018.

He was born in Syracuse, NY on February 1, 1932 to the late James and Ann Popps.

Jim retired from Carrier Corporation after many years. He missed his wife greatly since she had passed. He enjoyed playing bingo and spending most of his time with his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Antoinette Popps and brothers, Dick, Buzz and Joe Popps.

Jim is survived by his two Daughters, Martha Martin and Rosemary Butler; three Sons, Ralph (Kathy) Cavallo, Michael (Kathy) Cavallo and Anthony (Linda) Cavallo; Sister, Eileen Butera; Brother, John Popps; Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, 4-7 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse. A funeral service will take place Wednesday at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery.
