James M. Keating

June 6, 1945 — September 16, 2019

James M. Keating, 74 of Clay, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. He was born on June 6, 1945 to the late Cornelius and Catherine Keating. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Crouse Hinds, Syracuse. James loved to golf, bowl and was an avid NY Yankees and Cleveland Browns fan.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karen; children, Kelly (Frank) Mancari and Margo Keating; grandchildren, Elisa Keating Drake, Tristan James Mancari and Braelin Taiaroa Drake; brother, Kevin Keating and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

James was predeceased by his brother, Rev. C. Patrick Keating.

Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N Main St., N. Syracuse on Monday, September 23rd from 4-7pm. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, September 24th, at 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cicero. Burial will follow at Pine Plains Cemetery in Clay, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association.
