James F. Jordan III, 83, of Clay, passed away January 8, 2022.
James was born in Manhattan, New York on January 1, 1939 to the late James and Margaret Jordan. After high school he went into the Navy and traveled the world. Which he loved. Jim worked in the data processing department for the county for many years. He was in charge of implementing the 911 system and trained the police how to use it. Jim was asked to come to China with a couple of his coworkers to show them how to set up the 911 system there.
Of all the things he loved, he loved his family the most.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary Coreen Jordan; four daughters, Joan (Dom) Commiso, Patricia (John) Parker, Bernadette Jordan, Laura Lynn Buckingham; grandchildren, Jennifer, Dominic, John, Joey, Kevin, Amanda, and Keegan;10 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Jack Jordan, and Dr. B. Bryan Jordan.
He was predeceased by a sister, Janet Clouting; a son, James F. Jordan, IV; and infant son, Seamus T. Jordan.
A celebration of life will be held in early summer.
