James J. Leary, 49, of Minoa passed away Thursday at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Denver, Colorado and a Veteran of the US Army, he was a self employed Upholster. He is predeceased by his father Thomas E. Leary and a brother George "Scott" Leary.
He is survived by his wife; Deborah (Thompson) Leary; a daughter, Jennifer Leary; 2 sons, James and Robert Leary; his mother, Charlotte Leary; maternal grandmother, Cora Clawson; 2 sisters, Elinor (George) Poole, Kimberly Hansen; 3 brothers, Thomas (Cindy), Matthew (Bonnie), David Leary; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at 2PM at the Simon-Parise VFW Post 9596, 6996 Taft Rd., East Syracuse, NY.
Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY.
