James E. Rathbun, 80, of Wolcott/N. Syracuse, NY, passed away Tuesday.
James retired from Penny Curtiss, he was a Korean War veteran and a member of American Legion 881.
James is survived by his wife, Dorthy; his children, Joseph Bent, Deborah (Bob) Welch, Cheryl (Victor) Catarisano, Mary Margaret Rathbun and James M. Rathbun; his stepchildren, Rita Thomas, Edward Warner and Melissa (Donald) Abrams; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; his first wife, Bettina Rathbun; his brother, Robert Rathbun (Marie); and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday 10 a.m. at St. Margaret's Church, Mattydale. Burial will follow in Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse.
Contributions can be made to the Syracuse VA Medical Center.
