James E. Locke of Baldwinsville died Wednesday at home. Born in Canal Fulton, OH and raised in Oakville. Conn. He graduated from Mt. Herman Prep. School in Northfield, Mass. and received his MBA from SU, Magna Cum Laude. Jim retired from Crouse Hinds following 45 years as Supervisor of Cost and Data Control and also worked at the Carrier Dome. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Baldwinsville where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. He was active in the Baldwinsville Theater Guild and the Van Buren Republican Committee. Jim enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, golf and casinos as well as his weekly poker game. He was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara.

Surviving are his wife of 16 years, Linda (Besaw); a son, James; daughters, Rebecca (Joe) Antico, Deborah Richberg and Charmaine Miller; step-daughters, Michelle (Chuck) Klasen and Dawn Misita; grandsons, Marc, Richard, Jacob and Max; great-grandchildren, Tobias and Elizabeth; sisters, Gwen, Marleen, Ginny and Lee.

Calling hour will be from 6-7 PM on Tuesday with a service to follow at 7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse NY.
