James D. Buckley, 58, of Cortland, died Tuesday at Rome Memorial Hospital surrounded by his children. He was born on August 10, 1954 in Syracuse, son of John and Elsie Buckley. Jim enjoyed working on cars and fixing household items.
Surviving are his children; Christopher (Tracy) LaPlante, Heather (Ron) Rogers, Melinda (Jason) Harris, Joseph Buckley, Nicholas Buckley, Dennis Buckley, his mother, Elsie, brothers; Dan Buckley, John Buckley, Gary Buckley, David Buckley, sister, Diane Buckley, several grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his father, John Buckley and brother, Michael Buckley.
Calling hours on Friday from 5-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with a memorial service at 7pm .
