James Henry Cornell

On the evening of the 2nd of February 2018, the most wonderful Husband, Dad, Grandfather, and Family Man that anyone could ever ask for passed away at Central Park Rehab and Nursing Center, after a long battle with cancer, and with several family members at his bedside.

James enjoyed quality time with his children and grandchildren, like taking them on long walks in a wagon to the bakery to get Italian bread. He taught all of them how to play cards, and loved going to baseball games with his grandson Bobby. He also loved telling jokes to make everyone laugh.

James was all about family time and enjoyed every minute of it, he couldn't wait until the next time he got to spend time with them. Everyone that knew him loved him so, and always talked about how kind and loving he was.

Previously deceased by his son John Hagg in 1990, he is survived by his loving wife Dianne of 44 years; two daughters, Ann Marie Martin (Bobby), Gina Filicia (Joseph); one sons, Christopher Jarvis (Tina); two granddaughters, Angelica Martin (George), Amy Lynn Neto (Sam); two grandsons, Bobby Martin (Rosa), Johann Hagg (Stacey); and several great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; one sister-in-law RoseAnn Klein; and several nieces, nephews, and a special friend of the family Verna Millward.

Services will be Thursday, February 8th from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 705 N. Main St, North Syracuse, NY 13212 with a funeral service to follow.
