James Lee Collins, Sr.

James Lee Collins, Sr., 77, of Bridgeport passed away on September 11, 2024. He was born in Laurel, DE to Fred and Estella Collins on November 16, 1946.

James was a veteran of the United States Army, serving proudly from 1966 to 1969. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and helping with the garden. James was a true jack-of-all-trades and could do a little bit of everything. He had a great sense of humor and loved to joke with those around him.

He is survived by his wife of 27 year, Elizabeth "Liz" M. Hendrick Collins; Daughters, Lee Collins, Sabrina (Michael) Haney, and Penny (Joe) Cole; Sons, Elwyn Lashua and Rex (Cindy) Lashua; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and Sisters, Joyce and Elaine.

James is predeceased by his parents, Fred and Estella Collins; Son, James Collins, Jr.; and Brothers, Cecil and Harry Collins.
