James Edward Bouvia, Sr., 77, of Syracuse, son of the late Maurice and Thelma Bouvia, returned to God on Thursday at home.
Jim served in the US Army during Vietnam. He was an avid Bills Fan and loved his time spent with his family. Jim will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Turner) of Syracuse; daughter, Annemarie (Robert) Checke (Bouvia) of Syracuse; sons, James E. Bouvia Jr. of Syracuse and Lee Bouvia of Virginia; his sister Patricia A. (George) Bombard (Bouvia) of North Syracuse; brothers Michael of Pennsylvania, David of Tennessee and Richard P. of Pennsylvania; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 30, from 2-3pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
