James 'Jim' McVicar

James McVicar, 72, of N. Syracuse, passed away on Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born on December 4, 1939 in Glasgow, Scotland. On February 20, 1959 he was married to Annie Renaud. Jim and Annie came to the U.S. in 1965 with three children and worked at Industrial Fabricating for over 30 years retiring in 2009. Jim was an active member of the Salt City Dart League for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Annie, of 52 years, two sons; Stuart and Jimmy, three daughters; Jeannie, Karen and Elaine; eight grandchildren; Lisa, Mitchell, James, Kayla, Matthew, Samantha, Jennifer, Casey and several great grandchildren.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held at the N. Syracuse VFW #7290 (Maxwell Ave.) on Monday January 2, 2012 from 1-5pm. There are no calling hours.
Contributions may be made to the Francis House.
