James A. Connor, 68, of Clay, died Wednesday at Crouse Hospital. A native of Natural Bridge, NY he was predeceased by his parents, John S. and Corrine F. Richardson Connor and his former wife, Doris A. Kerry Connor. Jim retired from Ryder P.I.E. as a truck driver and was a member of Teamsters Local 317 in Syracuse. He enjoyed country music, karaoke, playing guitar, deer hunting and four wheeling. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 787, Cicero.
Surviving are two daughters, JoDee (John) Kelly and Hope (Tim) Bednarski; two sisters, Cheryl (Ralph) Harvey and Kathryn (Larry) Brown; four grandchildren, Cody, Brianna, Connor and Callie; his companion, Clara Pillans; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 4–7 pm Monday at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Funeral services will be 7 pm Monday at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St.
Graveside services will be 1:30 pm Tuesday at Hillside Cemetery, Natural Bridge, NY.
Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
