Jackie A. Rucker
August 12, 1941 — March 13, 2021
Jackie (Russell) Rucker passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 after a courageous 10-year battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, James; daughter, Victoria Tourot; grandsons, Justin (Kara) Tourot, Adam (Jessica) Tourot and Tyler Tourot; two great-grandchildren; along with sisters, Virginia Malecki, Noreen VanAuken; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Jackie spent the bulk of her working career in the personnel field at Kmart, Mattydale, Nationwide Insurance and the Visiting Nurses Association. She loved her family above all else and some of our dearest memories stem from vacations spent on the beaches of Virginia and North Carolina. Jackie also had a passion for all animals, most especially her beloved cats.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to the Francis House of Syracuse.
