Jack J. Napoli, 77, of N. Syracuse, passed away in the arms of his loving wife of 54 years and beloved family after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. A native of Solvay, Jack always said "We live in North Syracuse but my heart never left Solvay".
Jack was a 1952 graduate of Solvay High. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Randolph. He retired from Niagara Mohawk following 40 years. Jack was an avid golfer, NY Yankee and SU fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Geddes Vets. Hill Top Club and Arrowhead Golf Course. He enjoyed golfing with his buddies and their many golf trips to Florence S.C.. Jack and Norma enjoyed being "snowbirds" in Stuart, Fla. the past 16 years. Jack leaves a legacy of love, strength and courage to all the lives he touched.
Jack leaves behind his wife Norma; three children, Julie (Peter) Capponi, Noreen VanEpps and John Napoli; four grandchildren, Peter and Kayla Capponi, Connor and Natalie VanEpps and a sister, Mary Colbow.
Services will be Thursday at 9:30 AM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse and 10 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St.
