Isabelle S. Stevens, 81, of Auburn passed away Monday at University Hospital Stroke Center. Ysa, as she was known, was born in St. Aygulf, France on the Mediterranean Sea. During WW II she met Anthony J. Stevens whom she married. He predeceased her in 1996.
She was owner/manager at John Stevens Dept. Store and later at Spirits Tavern & Cafe where she managed the kitchen. Many customers became her friends because all that met her knew she was a special person.
She is survived by her sons; John and Mark Stevens and her grandchildren, Nicholas, Jeffrey, Alexa, William (Cody), Matthew and Brooke.
Services will be held on Saturday at 11:30 AM at St. Mary's Church, 15 Clark St., Auburn with burial to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, both in Auburn.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Rev. Albert J. Shamon Catholic Education Fund.
